Aaron Bennett

 

 

Aaron is our Chief Executive and also owns the station.

 

Cheesy, mad and very lively, Aaron has been working in radio for a very long time and started when he was only 13 years of age. Aaron has been presenting on various stations, including Hospital Radio and also on other web stations since being bitten by the radio bug in his teens. Aaron currently also is a keen presenter on Radio Victoria at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

 

"What has been my greatest inspirations with working in radio and this job? Well it has to be the passion for community Radio and I have been doing it for several years. When I started City Youth Radio back in 1996, I didn’t think I’d be where I am today. It’s taken a lot of hard work and devotion, but look at me now!

 

I got to say that the 2 people that have inspired me have to be: Helen Murdock from my college days. ‘Cool Calm and Collected,’ Helen taught me to keep fighting in what I believe in, to never give up and don’t take no for a answer! (So that’s why I was such a brilliant S.U President between 2000 and 2002!) The other influence has to be my very good friend Brian Cantwell. Without him, I’d never of got so far as I have now. Working on Radio St. Helier was a real learning curve and really opened my eyes to the potential that was in front of me. Brian helped me make my dream come true!"

 

When at work, Aaron drinks gallons of coffee and Pepsi and enjoys the odd scone. He has been known to utter extremely rude words at the studio computer, when it does not work.

 

Michael "Mikey" King

 

 

Michael is our Station Manager

 

"I'd say I fit in quite well with the nutcases here at Flash Hitz Radio, but you know what? I work with a fantastic team and love every mad minute of it!"

 

Michael Has been in internet Radio Said he was 15 He was Worked on many stations including his own which he called King Radio Michael Enjoys what he does here at Flash Hitz Radio Michael takes his job very seriously and is always sorting things out for the station. He can often be found in late night conference calls to Aaron at some very odd hours! Michael Is a hard worker who loves what he does for the station.

 

Michael Does More Of the Administrative Stuff For the Station. as well as Recruiting new Members Michael Can Also be found hiding in his office doing hours and hours of paper work.

 

Michael Is a Pepsiaholic Just Like Aaron and he can often be seen drinking a Pepsi at odd hours of the night
 

 

Christopher Gamelin

 

 

Chris is our Deputy Station Manager

 

Chris has been in the internet, radio business for quite some time. (He is not a veteran of the radio world like Aaron though!) Before coming to Flash Hitz radio he ran his own Internet Radio Station. Chris is another Pepsi-oholic and it isn’t advised that you give him much for obvious reasons! Chris  has a fun and entertaining personality and makes anyone smile!

“I drink loads of Pepsi, so what? It helps to enhance my character… I’m mad nutty and almost as bad as Aaron! I also work on 1 Radio, (As well as here on Flash Hitz Radio) presenting my own show, so I know what I’m doing! I broadcast from a studio in my basement and I have got everything I need to keep you entertained. Shame I have to do the long walk to the loo when I need a bathroom break though…”

 

Andrew "The Diva" Weaver

 

 

Andrew is the station's Operation's Manager

 

Andrew is another of our hard working and dedicated volunteers. he's well known for saying “indeed” and “epic” far too much and for having the world's most confusing voicemail message on his mobile! Andrew has a real passion for music and wants to be a real pro o the radio like Chris Moyles. Andrew loves working on the radio and enjoys the buzz he gets  from working on the station!

“I  love working on Flash Hitz Radio, because it gives me something constructive to do and also keeps me out of mischief! We have a good team here and I am proud to be part of it. Hopefully, soon I will have my own show, which would be proper brilliant!”
